Built to be gentle, and usable.
People find this site on some of the hardest days of their lives. It should never be one more thing that gets in the way.
What this site does
- Every section is readable without JavaScript. Animated sections fall back to plain, stacked content.
- If your device asks for reduced motion, we honour it — the scroll-driven sections become a static list, and decorative movement stops.
- Images that carry meaning have text descriptions. Purely decorative artwork is hidden from screen readers.
- The FAQ and navigation work from the keyboard, and interactive controls report their state to assistive technology.
- Text sits on backgrounds chosen for contrast, and the layout reflows down to small screens without horizontal scrolling.
What we're still working on
We haven't completed a formal WCAG audit yet, so we're not going to claim a conformance level we haven't verified. That audit is planned ahead of the October release, and we'll update this page with the result — including anything that doesn't pass.
