Delete Your Account
Deleting your Forget Me Not account
You can delete your account and your information at any time. It is your information, and you are in charge of it.
In the app (fastest)
- Open Forget Me Not.
- Go to Settings.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
If you can't open the app
Email info@forgetmenotreminders.app from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask a simple question to confirm it's you. We will complete the deletion within 30 days and confirm by email.
What gets deleted
- Your account details (email and sign-in information)
- Your Life Events, the people attached to them, and your notes
- Your saved messages, favorites and chosen stickers
- Your reminders and device notification token
- Any feedback tied to your account
What may remain, and for how long
- Backups: encrypted backups roll off on their normal cycle, within 90 days. Deleted data is not restored to the live service.
- Limited records we are required to keep by law, or to handle a dispute or prevent abuse.
- Anything stored only on your own phone, such as your contacts, calendar and photos. Deleting your account does not remove these.
Before you delete
- Deleting is permanent. We cannot recover it afterwards.
- Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account. Please follow the steps above.
- If you only want reminders to stop, you can pause or remove reminders instead, which keeps what you saved.
